Client Brief

Geraldton Boat Lifters needed a facility to service their clients vessels. To successfully deliver their
service offering, the building required had specific criteria that needed to be considered to ensure
successful operation.

Auspan worked closely with the Geraldton Boat Lifters team and a builder they were working with (Bell Construction) to deliver exactly what they required. This included designing the main opening into the building to have the correct clearances with a reliable door system, ventilation and also considering
corrosion aspects due to the location of the building.

Challenges

Designing the quad track sliding door system to make sure it was the right balance between strength and being reliable / easy to use (works great with excellent feedback on the system). Installing a shed this tall in a windy coastal location, using the AUSPAN Roof Lift method meant that the roof was
completely sheeted and braced at ground level before standing the shed – the install team did a great job

• Sliding door out rigger system to allow the full end of the shed to be opened
• Ridge and wall vents to maintain good working environment
• High spec marine grade paint coating to main opening frame and external steel work.
